Upcoming Event: Coping with & Responding to the Apocalypse: Haiti After the Earthquake & Cholera

COHA is pleased to announce that Georgia State University is staging an all-day conference on Haiti on February 2, 2011. For those in the vicinity, please join the faculty, staff, and students for an all-day panel discussion on the subject of Haiti, seen from numerous perspectives. The event, Coping with & Responding to the Apocalypse: Haiti After the Earthquake & Cholera, will be convoked on Wednesday beginning at 8.a.m. The meeting will be held at the Troy Moore Library, general classroom Bldg. 9th floor, at Atlanta’s Georgia State University. The seminar will discuss issues in Haiti regarding public health hurdles, social challenges, international linkages, economic debates, elections and politics, and views of the U.S. and other foreign players on Haiti’s development and democratization strategy.
