On Tuesday, August 7, 2012, COHA director Larry Birns was interviewed by Press TV on the downfalls of ideological extremism in Congress, particularly in addressing economic hardship in the United States, as many lawmakers have put ideology ahead of professionalism.
Director Larry Birns was interviewed by Al Jazeera on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, about the Venezuelan presidential elections and potential for electoral fraud. Although not without criticism of Chavez, Birns noted that opinion polls have consistently shown he enjoys the public’s support.
VOXXI published an article “Hacking freedom of speech in Chavez’s Venezuela and Latin America” by Research Fellow Alex Sanchez on Tuesday, August, 7, 2012, in its Americas blog about the online attacks intended to silence opposition leaders in the region.
