The Washington Report on the Hemisphere

To Our Valued Readers,

For over 35 years, the Council on Hemispheric Affairs, led by its long-time director and former university professor, Larry Birns, has striven to produce the most in-depth and reliable analysis of inter-American issues on an ongoing basis. As a result, many of these efforts, are regularly incorporated into its highly regarded biweekly publication, the Washington Report on the Hemisphere (WRH). Circulating since 1980, the WRH has won a far-reaching audience consisting of academics, regional analysts, editorial page editors, respected journalists and diplomats operating around the globe.

Among scores of college and university libraries that subscribe to the Washington Report are Columbia, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Texas, American, Dartmouth and Georgetown. The WRH is priced at $560.00 per year for institutions and libraries. COHA also offers individual, non-institutional subscriptions to the same publication, for the subsidized price of $99.00 for a full year subscription, with guaranteed renewal at the same price for the next year. Also included in each copy of the WRH are the pen and ink drawings on Latin American themes, by famed illustrator Margaret Scott, who has been a world known artist for the Washington Post, as well as other national and regional U.S. publications.
